		<description>Thank you for commenting on my blog, Timo! A BICC does indeed handle a lot of the issues with departmental BI, but a BICC in nature works across silos so is an enterprise resource. There are some solutions, tools, data, that apply only to an individual department and as long as these are implemented in a way that does not negatively impact other departments, I support it. More often, though, it seems that departmental BI is the path of least resistance because the powers-that-be don&#039;t realize BI&#039;s strategic importance. Without that realization, a BICC will never get off the ground, nor any kind of enterprise solution.
