Informatik<\/a>, based near Stuttgart, Germany, terms not disclosed<\/p>\n<p>The&nbsp;important:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A &#8220;challenger&#8221; in Gartner&#8217;s 2007 data quality magic quadrant\n<li>Adds European address databases to Business Objects&#8217; existing portfolio and improves European customer base\/sales expertise\/coverage\n<li>Vertical solutions for Postal, Financial services, and Telco\n<li>SOA-enabled, which should make integration easy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The trivia:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Web site includes a great data quality quote attributed to Albert Einstein, that I&#8217;ve not seen elsewhere, and couldn&#8217;t find on Google: &#8220;it&#8217;s easier to solve data quality problems than live with them&#8221; (or, in German: &#8220;Es is leichter, Datenqualit\u00e4tsprobleme zu losen, als mit ihnen zu leben&#8221;)\n<li>UPDATE: many thanks to <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.ittoolbox.com\/bi\/websphere\/archives\/business-objects-acquires-a-company-that-helps-you-pick-baby-names-18832\">Vincent McBurney<\/a>.
