{"id":12302,"date":"2013-03-20T07:47:29","date_gmt":"2013-03-20T06:47:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/timoelliott.com\/blog\/?p=4716"},"modified":"2021-08-16T18:35:43","modified_gmt":"2021-08-16T16:35:43","slug":"sap-innovation-forum-in-oslo-2013","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timoelliott.com\/blog\/2013\/03\/sap-innovation-forum-in-oslo-2013.html","title":{"rendered":"SAP Innovation Forum in Oslo 2013"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-top: 0px; border: 0px;\" title=\"Oslo SAP Innovation Forum Panorama\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/timoelliott.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/oslo-panorama-small.jpg?resize=690%2C240&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Oslo SAP Innovation Forum Panorama\" width=\"690\" height=\"240\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After a short welcome from SAP Norway country manager <a href=\"http:\/\/no.linkedin.com\/in\/michaelostgaard\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Michael R. \u00d8stgaard<\/a>, I presented the keynote at yesterday\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/norway.innovationbysap.com\/index.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SAP Innovation Forum in Oslo<\/a>, entitled \u201cBusiness Like Never Before\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/no.linkedin.com\/pub\/leif-petter-haagestad\/1\/891\/a63\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Leif Petter Haagestad<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/no.linkedin.com\/pub\/simen-huuse\/3\/6a6\/453\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Simen Huuse<\/a> won the SAP Partner Demo Jam, with an eight-minute review of the \u201cperformance enhancing effects of HANA\u201d, using an analogy involving Norwegian ski stars. They did a demonstration of BW on HANA, and showed some of the early results they have had running SAP Business Suite on HANA.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-top: 0px; border: 0px;\" title=\"itelligence suite on hana comparison small\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/timoelliott.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/itelligence-suite-on-hana-comparison-small.jpg?resize=690%2C701&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"itelligence suite on hana comparison small\" width=\"690\" height=\"701\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>During a break, I sat down with them to review what they had talked about, and their opinions about BW and SAP Business Suite on HANA:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/o8ZXv-AIAIk\" width=\"690\" height=\"388\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Most of the sessions were in Norwegian, but I was particularly interested by the Finance Track presentations by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/pub\/ivo-bauermann\/0\/919\/b24\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ivo Bauermann<\/a> on SAP innovations to transform the finance function; and by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/pub\/troels-klem-thomsen\/1\/67a\/515\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Troels Klem Thomsen<\/a> on achieving excellence in GRC processes.<\/p>\n<p>I also caught the tail end of the session on \u201cSAP Runs SAP\u00a0 mobility\u201d, with <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/OZZYGENIS\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Oguzhan Genis<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/brewie12\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jos Houben<\/a> talking about how SAP deploys and manages 61,000 mobile users at the company.
