Use it Wisely."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cWith great strength comes great responsibility\u201d*.<\/p>\n<p>Today, too many organizations using big data seem only to be limited by what they dare admit to the public.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t follow their example. Legally, you may own the data, but you should behave as if it were owned by the people who generated it.<\/p>\n<p>This means <strong>transparency<\/strong>,<strong> <\/strong>making it easy for people to see what data you hold about them, and what you\u2019re doing with it. It means asking for <strong>permission <\/strong>before using their data in new ways. It means letting people <strong>control <\/strong>who else has access to that data.<\/p>\n<p>Data privacy is becoming a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.informationweek.com\/big-data\/news\/big-data-analytics\/privacy-concerns-big-datas-biggest-bar\/240156861\">competitive differentiator<\/a>.
