The SAP World Tour 2009 is underway and over 5,000 people signed up to attend the free event in Paris on June 2nd and 3rd at the Porte de Versailles Expo, with keynote presentations from the Directeur Générale of SAP France, Pascal Rialland and Luc Ferry, former French Education Minister – and Philosopher (France is one of the only countries where people can call themselves philosophers and still wield real influence!)
The SAP BusinessObjects portfolio of solutions featured heavily at the show (although perhaps less so than at the US Sapphire event – does Europe need more time to catch up?). There were large crowds for each of the many product and solution sessions, most which were carried out in an eerie, animated quietness (in order to avoid excessive noise on the show floor, each attendee was given a set of headphones, and the presenter was only directly audible from the front row)
Alexis Naibo (pictured above) and other members of the SAP BusinessObjects Innovation Center and SAP Research were on-hand to show off the latest prototypes (when you need systems to manage squads of robots, we’re ready), and there was lots of interest from customers and journalists about the brand-new SAP BusinessObjects Explorer product.
