Sun, Sea, and SAP!

It’s just about time for my summer vacation and this year I’m heading to the beautiful Spanish island of Ibiza in the Mediterranean.

It’s famous for its history of hippy culture, for its many beautiful beaches — and for having some of the best nightlife in the world!

The island is a frequent destination for jet-setting stars from around the world (Lionel Messi, Cher, and Raphael Nadal have all been spotted enjoying the sun this year.)

So where do the businesses that run the island turn to for support? Luckily for me, Ibiza is increasingly powered by SAP!

For example, the Palladium Hotel Group manages the luxurious Ushuaia and Hard Rock beach club hotels on playa d’en Bossa, and has turned to the latest technologies and SAP C/4HANA (SAP Hybris) to help turn their customers into passionate fans.

In the video below, you can hear from the CEO, CSMO, CIO, and Director of Marketing of Palladium Hotel Group about their passion and culture, and how SAP Hybris is helping them better understand their audience: they can now put the right marketing dollars and investment into the right place at the right time for the right people with the right message!

The Spanish hotel group Meliá also operates luxury hotels on the island, including the stunning Ibiza Sol hotel.

Meliá recently explained how they have moved their business systems to the SAP HANA Enterprise cloud. In particular, they wanted to manage the huge amount of digital data, and optimize the use of that information to make better decisions. You can hear more in the video below:

Finally, Ibiza’s most mythical nightclub, Pacha, recently moved to adopt SAP S/4HANA in the cloud to support their rapid expansion around the world.

The first Pacha nightclub opened in 1973, and for over 50 years, Pacha Group has achieved success in the leisure, entertainment, and hospitality industries, including other island landmark destinations such as the Lío nightclub and the Destino resort.

Due to the ever-changing, fast-paced digital economy, they made the decision to revolutionize how they operate — down to the core.

With the help of intelligent ERP — including S/4HANA Cloud, C/4HANA (Formerly SAP Hybris), SAP SuccessFactors, SAP BusinessObjects,  and SAP Gigya, Pacha Group is seeing a notable reduction in manual tasks workload, international expansion support, and more.

You can listen to a replay of Pacha Group’s CIO Antonio Díaz explaining their plans in more detail at SAPPHIRENOW: Digitize Your Core Business With SAP S/4HANA Cloud.

I’m not much of a clubber myself, and I’m not going to be staying in any fancy hotels, but if you’re in Ibiza, you’ll probably find me near the beautiful Las Salina beach or in the historic Dalt Vila  — see you there? 🙂
