Gartner has announced the BI & Analytics market shares for 2013.
SAP remains the clear leader with 21.3% market share, growing at 5.3%, faster than closest competitors Oracle and IBM.
Despite large growth numbers for some smaller “data discovery” vendors, there is as yet little sign of disruption in the overall market: total market share of the top 5 “traditional” BI vendors fell just 1.24% from 70% to 69%.
Dan Sommer of Gartner noted that “the big vendors are expected to dramatically improve their stories around becoming more nimble with data discovery and cloud this year and the next.”
